- where are earthdog products made?
all of our products are handmade in the usa. with the exception of our medallions, which are made in ct, all products are made in nashville, tn.
- how do i choose the right size?
collars: measure around your dog’s neck with a tape measure and add an inch or about the thickness of two fingers for wiggle room.
harnesses: measure your dog’s chest girth around the largest part of the ribcage.
- what is a “martingale” collar?
also referred to as a greyhound or “limited” choke collar, martingale collars were originally designed for sighthounds, as their necks are larger than their head. these collars have gained popularity as they provide more control over your dog without the choking effect of a slip collar. as with any collar that tightens when pulled, we do not recommend leaving a martingale collar on your dog unsupervised.
- can i order an extra bed cover?
we do sell extra bed covers; however, be aware that most of the cost of our beds is in the hemp cover. please email email@example.com for bed cover pricing.
- are earthdog products washable? how?
all of our products can be machine washed and dried. hemp gets softer and softer with use, particularly with washing. we recommend washing your item separately the first time in cold water. our inner bed bags should be machine-dried thoroughly to maintain their soft and buoyant nature.
- can you fulfill special orders?
we get many requests for special sizes and custom orders and are happy to fulfill those requests if possible. as our products are handmade, we have the ability to create special sized and custom items.
- where do you get your hemp?
we use asian-grown 100% hemp canvas and webbing and hemp rope from romania.
- what kind of dye do you use?
we use low impact, non-toxic procion dyes.
- what is your guarantee?
we guarantee our products to be free of manufacturer defects. if you feel you received a defective product, please contact us. because dogs will be dogs, normal wear and tear and/or damage is to be expected, and therefore not covered under our guarantee. collars are not guaranteed or recommended for use under any tie-out circumstances. please provide supervision with all our toys and remove if damage is detected. damage/destruction should be expected with any dog toy and as such toys are not returnable.
- what kind of credit cards do you accept?
we accept visa, mastercard and american express.
- can i pay by check or money order?
if you prefer to pay by check or money order, you can print your order from our website and mail it to us along with your check or money order.
- how much is shipping?
we offer free shipping on all orders over $40 in the continental usa. shipping on orders $40 and under is $6.00. actual shipping charges are added to orders placed outside the continental usa and will be charged at time of shipping. please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a shipping quote.
- how do your products ship?
orders in the usa ship via usps priority mail and fedex ground. orders outside the usa ship via usps international priority mail.
- how long will it take to receive my order?
we process orders promptly and ship all items within 1-3 business days. you will be notified of any exceptions. shipping time is generally 3-7 business days.
- i live overseas – can i still place an order?
absolutely! shipping charges will be added at the time of shipping. please email email@example.com for a shipping quote.
- what is your return policy?
you must be completely satisfied with everything you purchase from earthdog. if for any reason, you are not delighted with any merchandise you buy from us, just return it in “as purchased” condition within 30 days. we will promptly exchange it or refund the purchase price, whichever you prefer. you will be responsible for any and all shipping charges to return the item(s) to us unless we shipped an incorrect or damaged item. any return that causes the original order to fall below the minimum "free shipping" order amount of $40 will result in a $6.00 service charge (in the case of beds please call for amount). in the case of exchanges, you will be responsible for shipping charges ($6 in most cases). please allow 5-10 days for returns & exchanges to be processed.
