[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="120.0"] 1618709-1147983-thumbnail.jpg[/caption] the ladiesjust to throw a monkey wrench in our dogs' lives, we also have 3 chickens…rosie, not rosie, & red. they’re actually quite comical and produce some quality eggs (some being the operative word). eggs are not generally accepted in a vegan diet but to me as long as i know the animal is having a quality life (i.e. in my care), i’m okay with it. hence we have chickens. my chickens have gotten soft,...

what's the deal???

by | Thursday, November 8, 2007 |

what is it about dogs and the phone?  not when it rings...once it's at your ear.  apparently a phone to the ear is the international sign for bark, and bark loudly.  because we work with 14 dogs, we face this problem constantly. essentially the office belongs to the dogs while we are stuck running for the closet as soon as we answer the phone. we’re thinking of moving our computers in there…of course then that’s where the dogs will have to be. ...

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="120.0"] 1618709-1132991-thumbnail.jpg[/caption] garcia & demeter are the head bitches here...and i don't mean that in a kind way - they're total bitches who think they are the schizzle.  they are a formidable team and are rarely found separately.  their complete disdain for other dogs actually turns to adoration for humans.  they are now the house elders and not letting anyone forget it.  this picture was taken when they were...

saturday morning coming down

by | Sunday, November 4, 2007 |

this is reilley & i chillin' on a saturday morning - he fancies himself my lap dog. if he gets the position right this is usually fine but if he gets it wrong, t's quite possible death is imminent once the extreme pressure his enormous body puts on my system is relieved. this is reilley’s second post on the blog in a very short amount of time. since he’s rarely away from my side, i think this will be about par for the course. i actually welcome reilley’s abundant...

eco-88 rocksdogs can create unmentionable atrocities – most of which stain.  eco-88 is the most amazing stain remover ever – it eats stains for lunch. i have no idea what’s in it and, honestly with such powerful stain removal action, it could be made of eye of newt for all i care. this stuff is a lifesaver, rug-saver, floor-saver, shirt-saver, etc, etc, etc…  eco-88  ...

early warning system

by | Tuesday, October 30, 2007 |

simonsimon is our security the first sign of an intruder, box truck, delivery truck, visitor, friend or foe simon lets loose rapid fire, incredibly loud barks.  his only function is as a warning system as once you pass the gates, he will immediately shut up and run away (or alternatively run away while barking).  he relies on other members of the pack to do the dirty work.  he's our boo!  ...

the perpetual puppy

by | Friday, October 26, 2007 |

fletcher was apparently stunted at the 6-month mark...he's 2 and still as much a puppy as he ever was. magazines are his current, finance, current's all interesting to him. our only choice, other than foregoing periodicals entirely, is to still cage him when we leave. mr. mcclovin is quite the character. ...

mr. sulky sulkatorian

by | Friday, October 19, 2007 |

whenever we’re working (which, by our own admission, is a lot), reilley can most often be found sulking. he’d much rather we be throwing his red, shiny ball for him. what he fails to realize is that the grueling hours of work are necessary to keep him living in the haute style to which he has become accustomed. perhaps someday he’ll learn…until then, buck up reilley....
