  1. where are earthdog products made?
    all of our products are handmade in the usa, in nashville, tn to be exact.
  2. how do i choose the right size?
    collars: measure around your dog’s neck with a tape measure and add an inch or about the thickness of two fingers for wiggle room.
    harnesses: measure your dog’s chest girth around the largest part of the ribcage.
  3. what is a “martingale” collar?
    also referred to as a greyhound or “limited” choke collar, martingale collars were originally designed for sighthounds, as their necks are larger than their head. these collars have gained popularity as they provide more control over your dog without the choking effect of a slip collar. as with any collar that tightens when pulled, we do not recommend leaving a martingale collar on your dog unsupervised. we also offer a martingale relooping program to extend the life of your martingale collar.
  4. can i order an extra bed cover?
    we do sell extra bed covers; however, be aware that most of the cost of our beds is in the hemp cover. please email us for bed cover pricing.
  5. are earthdog products washable? how?
    all of our products can be machine washed and dried. hemp gets softer and softer with use, particularly with washing. we recommend washing your item separately the first time in cold water. our inner bed bags should be machine-dried thoroughly to maintain their soft and buoyant nature.
  6. can you fulfill special orders?
    we get many requests for special sizes and custom orders and are happy to fulfill those requests if possible. as our products are handmade, we have the ability to create special sized and custom items.
  7. where do you get your hemp?
    we use asian-grown 100% hemp canvas and webbing.
  8. what kind of dye do you use?
    we use low impact, non-toxic procion dyes.


  1. what is your guarantee?
    we guarantee our products to be free of manufacturer defects. if you feel you received a defective product, please contact us. because dogs will be dogs, normal wear and tear and/or damage is to be expected, and therefore not covered under our guarantee. collars are not guaranteed or recommended for use under any tie-out circumstances. 


  1. what kind of credit cards do you accept?
    we accept visa, mastercard and american express. you can also pay via paypal. when paying by PayPal we cannot make any changes to your order once it's placed (ie applying coupon codes, cancelling, etc).
  2. can i pay by check or money order?
    if you prefer to pay by check or money order, you can print your order from our website and mail it to us along with your check or money order.


  1. how much is shipping?
    we offer free shipping on orders over $50 in the continental usa with coupon code free50. we offer two flat rate options for shipping on orders $50 and under: usps priority mail is $9.50 and usps first class mail is $7.  both options include tracking and insurance but first class mail will likely take longer...the choice is yours. the international shipping rate is $31 for our canadian customers and $46 for all other international customers. in the case that your order does not fit in a flat rate box you will be contacted with the actual shipping charge. please see our shipping page for more information.
  2. how do your products ship?
    orders in the usa ship via usps priority and first class mail and fedex ground (blankets only). orders outside the usa ship via usps international priority mail.
  3. how long will it take to receive my order?
    we process orders promptly and ship all items within 1-2 business days. you will be notified of any exceptions. shipping time is generally 3-7 business days.
  4. i live overseas – can i still place an order?
    absolutely! please see our shipping page for a full explanation of international shipping.


  1. what is your return policy?
    you must be completely satisfied with everything you purchase from earthdog. if for any reason, you are not delighted with any merchandise** you buy from us, just return it in “as purchased” condition within 30 days of your purchase date. we will promptly exchange it or refund the purchase price, whichever you prefer. you will be responsible for any and all shipping charges to return the item(s) to us unless we shipped an incorrect or damaged item. any return shipped with the free shipping coupon code that causes the original order to fall below $50 will result in a $7 service charge. in the case of exchanges, you will be responsible for shipping charges ($7). please allow 7-10 business days for returns & exchanges to be processed.
