Not as thick as I thought it would be, but the hemp is strong and will last a long time. Fits well and soft on their neck.

This is our second earth dog collar. Our dog kept his first one for about 5 years. We have been very pleased with the quality of this collar.

My dog, a coon hound/lab mix, was having terrible time with the typical nylon collars you get in a pet store. They were causing her neck to get abrased and was creating a bad situation. I tried the hemp collars from earthdog and she still pulls as she always did but we have had no abrasion on her neck. Hemp collars are perfect - and not easy to find in normal pet retail environments.
