I ordered two of the hemp breakaway collars for my small, rough and tumble pups. I love everything about these collars (durability, look, softness of the hemp, colorful designs, sewn in name tags, etc.) except that they are just a little too wide for my small (15 pound) dogs. The breakaway design is perfect (I removed the velcro piece since the dogs are small) and it functions as needed when the play gets rough. The only reason that I have to order replacements from Etsy is that the 1" width is just a little too much, especially when it comes to the bulky quick-release (not the break-away) buckle. Maybe in the future Earthdog with consider making this collar in a 3/4" width for dogs with 9-14" neck sizes. They might even consider removing the quick-release buck entirely since it's possible to use the break-away when removing the collar (this decreases the weight and bulk of the collar which is especially important for the little guys).

I only feel comfortable with breakaway collars for my dog and have had the hardest time finding anything I actually like the style of so she's been stuck with solid colors - until now!



I love the Earthdog's patterns as they are but being able to add a patch really made her collar so special.



I hope this lasts a long time but whenever she needs a new one I will be ordering from here again for sure :)
