Earth Dog collars look great and are well made. Another big advantage of hemp is that it does not hold odors like nylon.



Martingale collars are my favorite walking and training collars. Martingale collars are great collars for securely controlling your dog. (Not choking them) There are no buckles to break. When fitted properly it prevents the dog from backing out of the collar. For most dogs a proper fit is when the leash is tightened and the two metal rings touch and not constrict on the dogs neck while still leaving room for you to place two fingers under the collar. It should be fitted just tight enough that the dog cannot back out of it. Once the collar is fitted correctly it should slip over the head easily without the need to loosen. Martingales collars should not be left on unsupervised dogs. Instead use a standard buckle collar like the Earth Dog adjustable collars.

We love these collars for our "kids". Our boy Piper has been wearing earthdog collars for a while and we love that they do not smell from his very active lifestyle. His previous collars would get F-U-N-K-Y from all of his playing, swimming, etc. We adopted his sister, Honey, in August and this is her second earthdog collar. These collars are super well-made and hold up to a lot of use (these kids run or walk an average of 3 miles a day). We love the beautiful prints these collars come in and Mom has a lot of fun picking from the different designs. Thanks very much for a GREAT dog product (one of the best that we know and these are certainly THE best collars...we have tried them all at this point)!!!!

My Weim, Biz, has a very tender neck. Nylon collars would rub him raw. I read that hemp collars were soft and non abrasive. So far so good..........the hemp collar has not irritated him in the least......we are happy campers.

Love these collars. They are soft on the dog's necks but very strong. I don't think they would wear out. Even the fasteners were still like new. Purchased the identical patterns because they were perfect for their personalities. Just wanted to brighten them up.
