dave & i try very hard to not let carly out of our sight for more than 20-30 seconds but apparently we both lapsed this morning. i walked into the office and found carly playing with a new toy. if you can't make it out it's the blade to our food processor - our very rarely used food processor with a very sharp blade. i'm grateful she didn't cut her tongue off since the tongue is rife with blood vessels and we just got new carpet in the office. ...

carly and speck are the best of friends and it’s pretty darn heartwarming – this is a just a little taste of the way they while away the hours. my favorite part is speck’s professional swimming flip turn that gets her going in the opposite direction (no water required).

there has been some interest in carly expressed so i thought i'd give a little update. in a nutshell she's, well, a nut - not like your run-of-the-mill peanut or pecan - we're talking a full blown filbert. she & speck are a two lady wrecking machine, although neither of them are very ladylike. carly is delightful and goofy and strange and hysterical all in one extremely gangly body. she and i are currently having one small issue - if i pay any attention to her (which...

last week we had a rare snowfall with some accumulation here in nashville. the evening it actually snowed dave & i were out doing some christmas shopping and, because we’re not that smart, didn’t hurry home as soon as it started snowing. we paid for that lack of intelligence dearly – it took us 2 hours to travel 5 miles home (that inch of snow we got was treacherous to nashville drivers). the next morning dave took the opportunity to get some great shots of the...
