murray update

by | Monday, February 9, 2009 |

for the last 8 months i’ve been taking murray for chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture and it has given him a quality of life that wasn’t predicted upon his original diagnosis. if you told me a year ago that murray would be receiving such care i would have guffawed right in your face. we’ve had murray since he was 4 weeks old and not once have we been able to take him to the vet without first slipping him a mickey. the sedation is not necessary to stop murray from being...

maybe we should we call him shorty

dooley is well on his way to being a colella pack member - he’s taking his time at it – clearly he knows slow and steady wins the race. he’s exhibiting two laughable qualities; the first being that he’s either scared of speck or absolutely repulsed by her (neither of which he could be blamed for). speck is of the mind that everyone loves her (which, as much as i hate to admit it, seems to be the case) and dooley is not left out of this group.  this means he...

many times when speck & carly play it looks like a finely choreographed fight scene from a movie - or a very complex capoeira battle.  oh, and in case you're wondering speck's voice is still horrendous! https://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=4464436170379435585&hl=en&fs=true

where my peeps at?

if you’ve never experienced the true nature of a wolfhound then i should let you in on something – they’re pathetic. from what i can discern woefulness and a huge heart seem to be the main components of a wolfhound – throw in some internal organs and fuzz and you’re there. how does this piteousness exhibit itself you may ask? first and foremost, wherever you are and whatever you ‘re doing any wolfhound you have will be on the couch closest to you...at all...

speck has brought the seconds before feeding to a new level.  i don't know what it sounds like to you but in person it's like she's being eviscerated.  second 20 is my favorite... https://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=-6265228304231526952&hl=en&fs=true

tongue: it's what's for dinner

by | Thursday, January 29, 2009 |

dave & i try very hard to not let carly out of our sight for more than 20-30 seconds but apparently we both lapsed this morning. i walked into the office and found carly playing with a new toy. if you can't make it out it's the blade to our food processor - our very rarely used food processor with a very sharp blade. i'm grateful she didn't cut her tongue off since the tongue is rife with blood vessels and we just got new carpet in the office. ...

run away

carly and speck are the best of friends and it’s pretty darn heartwarming – this is a just a little taste of the way they while away the hours. my favorite part is speck’s professional swimming flip turn that gets her going in the opposite direction (no water required). https://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=-4877841138120399779&hl=en&fs=true...

the misadventures of carly

by | Thursday, January 8, 2009 |

there has been some interest in carly expressed so i thought i'd give a little update.  in a nutshell she's, well, a nut - not like your run-of-the-mill peanut or pecan - we're talking a full blown filbert.  she & speck are a two lady wrecking machine, although neither of them are very ladylike.  carly is delightful and goofy and strange and hysterical all in one extremely gangly body.  she and i are currently having one small issue - if i pay any attention to her (which...
