ronan had his monthly oncology follow up last week and for the second month in a row his tumor is stable…yahoeey!
i can’t help but think carly knew ronan needed more time here with us to continue healing his emotional issues and somehow used her carly magic to absorb a portion of his cancer battle as her own. it seems ronan has been given a chance to exit this life feeling light and loved and he doesn’t appear to be wasting the opportunity. his emotional pain load seems to have reduced more in the few months since his diagnosis in october than it had the entire four years since we adopted him. he is lighter, more joyful and seems to know he’s adored and it has been an amazing gift to receive amidst the complete shit that osteosarcoma is. we’re gonna hold him tight for as long as we can.
